Community Playlink operates Toy Libraries in support of families and their children through play. From our Southampton Toy Libraries we loan, FREE of charge, a wide range of high quality and educational toys, games and sports equipment to some of the most deprived families of children aged 0-14 years at different locations in Southampton.
Community Playlink has Toy Libraries at premises for families with Under 5’s to meet, play and socialise, is often the first time after giving birth where parents and carers can get together, giving babies and young children opportunities for social skills such as sharing, playing with others and learning through play. We also provide the same service to children’s groups at nurseries and pre-schools.
BUT!!!
Our funds are running out, we urgently need cash for our overheads to continue to provide this unique service to the parents and their children who need us most.
Can you help us in any way? Sponsored walk, run, hop or any other way you can think of.
If you think you can help us by volunteering to help with fundraising and grant applications and would like to discuss volunteering and/or any ideas, please do not hesitate to contact us at the above address.
Thank you in anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
Ann Compton, Chair of Trustees Community Playlink.
